Amoxicillin Trihydrate & Clavulanate Potassium is a broad spectrum antibiotic used to treat a variety of skin and soft tissue infections. This medication treats wounds, abscesses, cellulitis, pyoderma, gum disease, respiratory infections, ear infections, and urinary tract infections. Clavulanic acid helps to neutralize microorganisms, making the amoxicillin trihydrate more effective in treating infection. Tablets come in four different strengths: 62.5 mg, 125 mg, 250 mg, and 375 mg.

Amoxicillin Trihydrate & Clavulanate Potassium Directions
Use as directed by your veterinarian, and follow all instructions printed on the prescription label. Do not remove tablets from foil packaging until ready to use. Administer with food to help lessen gastrointestinal side effects. Complete the entire prescription, even if your pet seems to be improving, unless instructed otherwise by your veterinarian. Treatment should not exceed more than 30 days.

Do not use in pets with a known allergy or hypersensitivity to penicillins or cephalosporins. In addition, do not use in pets that are pregnant or lactating. Amoxicillin Trihydrate & Clavulanate Potassium Tablets may interact with some other medications. Therefore, inform your veterinarian of any and all medications your pet may be taking. If you notice any behavioral or physiological changes in your pet while administering Amoxicillin Trihydrate & Clavulanate Potassium Tablets, contact your veterinarian immediately.
