Baytril Otic Basics

Baytril Otic treats bacterial and yeast infections of the ear. This medication is the brand name used for the antibiotic enrofloxacin. Enrofloxacin is part of a classs of broad-spectrum synthetic chemicals called fluoroquinolones. These chemicals inhibit the replication of bacterial DNA.

Baytril Otic requires a prescription from your veterinarian. It comes in a 15 ml bottle and a 30 ml bottle.

Baytril Otic Directions

Use as directed by your veterinarian, and follow all instructions printed on the prescription label. Shake bottle well before use. Tilt you dog’s head upward while administering this medication. Next, gently massage the ear after each dose. Complete the entire prescription unless instructed otherwise by your veterinarian. Dosage and duration of treatment depend on the condition being treated and response to the medication.

Store at room temperature, protected from light and moisture.
