Furosemide/Pimobendan Compound Basics
Furosemide/Pimobendan is available by prescription only. Furosemide/Pimobendan is used to treat congestive heart failure and other heart conditions. Furosemide is primarily used to treat congestive heart failure, pulmonary edema, or fluid in the lungs, high blood pressure, high calcium and potassium levels, liver disease, and specific kidney diseases. Pimobendan improves the quality of life in dogs suffering from congestive heart failure (CHF) or dilated cardiomyopathy, or an enlarged, weakened heart. Furosemide/Pimobendan Compound is available in a chewable.

Furosemide/Pimobendan Compound Warnings
Keep out of the reach of children and pets. Do not use in animals with a known hypersensitivity or allergy to furosemide or pimobendan. Furosemide/Pimobendan Compound can have a negative reaction when mixed with some other medications. Inform your doctor of any and all medications your pet is taking, especially spironolactone, non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs), verapamil, theophylline, pentoxiphylline, propranolol, steroids, digoxin, or aspirin. Periodic bloodwork is necessary to monitor kidney and liver values. Tell your veterinarian if your pet is pregnant or lactating. Store at room temperature, protected from light and moisture.

Furosemide/Pimobendan Compound Directions
Use as directed by your veterinarian. Always follow the instructions printed on the prescription label. Store furosemide/pimobendan compound at room temperature. Be sure to complete the prescription to ensure a full recovery, unless your veterinarian instructs you otherwise. Duration of administration depends on the condition being treated, response to the medication, and development of any adverse effects. Allow your pet access to plenty of water.

If you notice any behavioral or physiological changes in your pet while administering furosemide/pimobendan, contact your veterinarian immediately.

Allergic Reactions and Serious Side Effects
Allergic reactions and serious side effects are rare, but in the case of an allergic reaction or a serious side effect, seek immediate veterinary attention. Some common signs of an allergic reaction or serious side effect are facial swelling, breathing difficulties, fainting, fever, or shock.
