Galliprant Basics

Galliprant requires a prescription from your veterinarian. It effectively treats pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis in dogs. Galliprant is a non-cyclooxyrgenase (COX) inhibiting, non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory medication. It works by inhibiting the formation of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are chemicals in the body that promote inflammation, pain, and fever. Galliprant comes in three strengths of flavored tablets: 20 mg, 60 mg, and 100 mg.
