This compound is an extra-label drug used by veterinarians. it requires a prescription from your veterinarian. It is available in a capsule and a chewable.

Pentoxifylline Compound Directions

Give as directed by your veterinarian, and follow all instructions printed on the prescription label. Keep out of the reach of children and pets. Use with caution in pets suffering from GI ulceration, kidney disease, or liver disease. Use with caution in pets that are pregnant or nursing. This compound may interact with some other medications. Therefore, inform your veterinarian of any and all medications your pet may be taking. This is especially important if your pet is currently taking anticoagulants, fluoroquinolones, or non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). If you notice any behavioral or physiological changes in your pet while administering pentoxifylline, contact your veterinarian immediately.
