Sotalol Hcl is a beta blocker used to treat ventricular tachycardias. It inhibits calcium channels to regulate heartbeat. This medication requires a prescription from your veterinarian. It is available in 80mg and 120mg.
Sotalol Hcl Directions
Use as directed by your veterinarian, and follow all instructions printed on the prescription label. Give doses without food. Shake oral suspensions before use. Complete the entire prescription unless instructed otherwise by your veterinarian. Dosage and duration of treatment depend on the condition being treated and response to the medication.

Keep out of the reach of children and pets. Use with caution if your pet is pregnant or nursing. Use with caution in pets suffering from asthma, diabetes, heart block, hyperthyroidism, kidney disease, sinus bradycardia, or uncontrolled congestive heart failure. Sotalol may interact with some other medications and substances. Therefore, inform your veterinarian of any and all medications your pet may be taking. This is especially important if your pet is currently receiving aloe, anesthesia, calcium channel blockers, furosemide, or insulin. If you notice any behavioral or physiological changes in your pet while administering sotalol, contact your veterinarian immediately.
