Temaril-P is used in dogs to provide relief from itching, inflammation, and coughing.
Temaril-P treats itching, dermatitis, eczema, kennel cough, inflammation, and otitis in dogs. The Temaril-P formula combines an antihistamine (Trimeprazine) and a corticosteroid (Prednisolone) in each tablet.
This medication requires a prescription from your veterinarian. It is available in 5mg tablets.
Use as directed by your veterinarian and follow all instructions printed on the prescription label. Complete the entire prescription, even if your dog seems to be improving, unless instructed otherwise by your veterinarian. Allow your pet access to plenty of water. Give with food every 12 hours. Do not stop the Temaril-P treatment suddenly. There should be a gradual reduction in dosage before stopping treatment.
Store at room temperature, protected from light and moisture.
Keep out of the reach of children and pets. Temaril-P is not intended for human use. For use in dogs only. Do not use in any animal that has shown allergies to trimeprazine or prednisolone. Temaril-P should not be used in pets suffering from viral infections, fungal infections, or epilepsy. Do not use in dogs that are pregnant or lactating. If you notice any behavioral or physiological changes in your pet while giving this medication, contact your veterinarian immediately.
Adverse Reactions and Serious Side Effects
Adverse reactions and serious side effects are rare, but in the case of a more serious reaction, seek veterinary attention immediately. Common allergic reactions and serious side effects are hives, breathing difficulty, or facial swelling.
