Tresaderm Basics

Tresaderm treats ear mites, ear infections, yeast infections, bacterial infections, and fungal infections in dogs and cats. This medication contains three chemicals: thiabendazole, neomycin, and dexamethasone. Thiabendazole treats infections caused by parasites and fungi. Neomycin treats infection by a variety of bacteria. Lastly, dexamethasone, which relieves itching and reduces inflammation.

Tresaderm requires a prescription from your veterinarian. It is available in 7.5mL and 15mL dropper bottles. This product must be refrigerated. Overnight delivery required.

Tresaderm Directions

Use as directed by your veterinarian, and follow all instructions printed on the prescription label. Shake well before use. Complete the entire prescription unless instructed otherwise by your veterinarian. Dosage and duration of treatment depend on the condition being treated and response to the medication. Clean and dry the external ear prior to administering treatment. Clip any hair away from the area prior to treatment.

Keep product refrigerated at all times.

Tresaderm Warnings

Keep out of the reach of children and pets. Use in dogs and cats only. Do not use in animals with a known hypersensitivity or allergy to thiabendazole, neomycin or dexamethasone. Do not use use in pregnant or lactating animals. Avoid contact with eyes. Tresaderm may interact with some other medications. Therefore, inform your veterinarian of any and all medications your pet may be taking. This is especially important if your pet is currently taking theophylline or aminophylline. This product is not intended for long-term use, as it can suppress the function of the adrenal glands. If you notice any behavioral or physiological changes in your pet while giving Tresaderm, contact your veterinarian immediately.

Adverse Reactions and Serious Side Effects

Adverse reactions and serious side effects are rare, however, they can occur. In the case of an adverse reaction or a more serious side effect, stop treatment and seek veterinary attention.
