Ventipulmin Syrup Basics

Ventipulmin Syrup is a beta-2-agonist that treats airway obstructions in horses. It acts as a smooth muscle relaxer. Ventipulmin also treats COPD and is a uterine relaxant.

This medication requires a prescription from your veterinarian. It is available in 100mL and 330 mL bottles.

Ventipulmin Syrup Directions

Use as directed by your veterinarian and follow the instructions printed on the prescription label. Duration of administration depends on the condition being treated, the response to the medication, and the development of any adverse effects. Complete the entire prescription unless instructed otherwise by your veterinarian.
Store at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep the cap on when the bottle is not in use. Do not let syrup freeze.

Ventipulmin Syrup Warnings

Keep out of the reach of children and pets. Ventipulmin is not intended for human use. For use in horses only. Use with caution in pets with heart disease. Do not use in mares that are nearly full term. Off-label use in food animals is against federal regulations. Ventipulmin may interact with some other medications. Therefore, inform your veterinarian of any and all medication your horse may be taking, especially beta adrenergic blockers, digotoxin, monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), oxytocin, or prostaglandins. If you notice any behavioral or physiological changes in your horse while giving Ventipulmin, contact your veterinarian immediately.
